SIM-air Family of Tools

These tools can help establish a multi-pollutant emissions inventory, estimate PM pollution via dispersion modeling, assess the health impacts of current and future emissions, and provide a platform to optimize among pollution control interventions. The tools are free and modularized for rapid assessment. More on SIM-air

Example city applications - Hyderabad, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hanoi, Dhaka, Bangkok, Shanghai, Lagos, Tana, Santiago, and Ulaanbaatar.

ATMoS-4.0 Dispersion Model

The Atmospheric Transport Modeling System (ATMoS-4.0)  is a linux/UNIX based "Lagrangian puff transport" dispersion model. For a given city domain and meteorological conditions, this model can be utilized to calculate particulate pollution levels using an emissions inventory or it can generate a source-receptor transfer matrix (an integral part of the SIM-air model) for rapid assessments.

Vehicular Air Pollution Information System

Emissions Inventory for Transport SectorThe VAPIS tool is an emissions calculator for the transport sector, which allows for including fleet age mix, deterioration rates, and emission standards, into calculations. An average emission factor database for multiple pollutants (PM, SO2, NOx, CO, CO2, VOC) and vehicle types (buses, cars, trucks, motorcycles, 3-wheelers) is attached. More on VAPIS..

Example applications: Urban passenger transport emissions analysis for 20 Indian cities.

Air Quality Index

[link] This AQI calculator allows the user to determine the degree of pollution in a city utilizing concentrations of five criteria pollutants - (PM, Ozone, SO2, NOx, and CO). The calculator is modularized for use with monitoring and modeling data bases.
